Antique Cassell’s Pigeon Book Red-Pied Pouter Cock Chromolithograph – J.W. Ludlow

Antique color chromolithograph depicting a dramatic Red-Pied Pouter Cock, from Cassell’s celebrated 19th-century pigeon illustrations after J. W. Ludlow. The richly colored bird is shown with its characteristic inflated crop against a detailed landscape setting.

Presented under glass with a muted green-gray mat and substantial wood frame. The reverse retains decorative marbled backing paper and a label from Art & Conservation Studio of Texas. Displays well with light age-related wear to the frame and materials.
