Vintage Dansk Jens Quistgaard Model 824 Double Barrel Teak Salt & Pepper Mill

Vintage Dansk combination salt shaker and pepper mill designed by Jens Quistgaard, model 824, a distinctive Danish Modern design commonly referred to by collectors as the “Double Barrel” or “Drum.”

The sculptural stacked form appears to be constructed from staved teak and features six salt dispensing holes on top, four wooden side-loading pegs, and an early metal grinding mechanism marked “PEUGEOT FRERES LION” with the lion emblem.

Measures approximately 3.5 inches tall and weighs approximately 11.3 oz.

Good vintage condition with surface scratches, finish wear, scattered marks, and discoloration consistent with age and use. The metal grinding mechanism shows age-related oxidation and wear. Pepper grinder turns and functions as intended. All four wooden side pegs are present.
